Basically you smash an old CD/DVD drive and remove the laser lens thing from inside the guts. With a little bit of masking tape you can attach it to an iphone (or any point & shoot style digital camera) and take some pretty wild shots. Sweet spot on this setup is about 3mm away from the lens so you really have to get in there. Crazy depth of field action going on too, as you\’ll see… (The full size images look much better)
